Files management is integral to records management. Records Management is the application of systematic control to recorded information.Files management ensures the use of information.  It ensures that records are able to be retrieved when needed.


Books /Magazines

Digital books can be easily distributed, reproduced, and read on-screen. Common file formats are Portable Document Format (PDF), and Tagged Image File Format (TIFF). 


Forms/OMR Sheets

Optical mark recognition (also called optical mark reading and OMR) is the process of capturing human-marked data from document forms such as surveys and tests. Many traditional OMR devices work with a dedicated scanner device that shines a beam of light onto the form paper.


Manuscripts

A manuscript is any document written by hand, as opposed to being printed or reproduced in some other way. Before the arrival of printing, all documents and books were manuscripts. In publishing and academic contexts, a manuscript is the text submitted to the publisher or printer in preparation for publication, regardless of the format.


Herbarium

A herbarium is a collection of preserved plant specimens. These specimens may be whole plants or plant parts: these will usually be in a dried form mounted on a sheet but, depending upon the material, may also be kept in alcohol or other preservative.
